The Klipwerf Veldhuisies are exclusive self-catering veld cottages ideal for those in need of some peace and quiet far from the maddening crowd. This secluded and very private site is situated in mountainous Renosterveld, just off the back road to Wupperthal towards Voelvlei, 6 kilometers past Red Cederberg’s base at Keurboschfontein.
ABOUT
Guests are accommodated in 3 original old-style Sederberg stone cottages that accommodate guests in a combination of double or single beds. Most of the cooking is done in either the Bokhuiskombuis or the Muisbosskerm.
Open Period: Klipwerf is open to guests for the autumn, winter, and spring months, from April to October. In April, the hot summer days give way to weather that is mostly mild and gentle. The average rainfall for winter is about 250 mm, with occasional snow on the Wolfberg. During the spring months, Klipwerf undergoes a transformation where the veld is covered in an abundance of life, with flowers and birds.
Closed Period During the summer months from November to March, KlipWerf is closed to visitors. However, where possible, we will consider special requests to make KlipWerf available during this time.
TARIFF
R6500 a night for 2026 (ex vat), limited to 8 guests, self-catering.
A small team of two stays onsite to make your stay comfortable and provides housekeeping services.
Please note that Klipwerf can only be booked exclusively for a minimum stay of two nights.
